2020 God's Work, Our HandsGods work. Our hands. It's a call to action. We are called into action to help others. To show love, respect, and acceptance to our family, friends, neighbors, and community. On Sunday, September 13, 2020 Rejoice will take part in community service. With our hands, we did God’s work of tidying our community in Jesus Christ’s name. It was a beautiful day!

Cross+Generational
We've teamed up with local non-profits and businesses in the Clearwater area to help our community.
We've worked with Great River Faith in Action, helping homeowners who need help with projects around their homes, helped a few days at Camp Friendship, the Clearwater Food Shelf, weed picking and whipping at Authority Fence, washing fire trucks at the Fire Hall, as well as picking more weeds and repairing and staining the play sets at Rejoice were a few ways we helped in the Clearwater community! Thanks for your support and to all who helped make these projects a success! |

Rejoice was blessed to have Spoke Folk pay a visit. The Spoke Folk group bikes from church to church, anywhere from 20-80 miles a day depending on the location of their next destination. After a long day of biking, they then put on a concert where they share their faith through music, a drama, and puppet show! A great night of fun and fellowship!

2018 YouthWorks - Lake Traverse, South DakotaDuring the week, we had the opportunity to paint houses,
visit care facilities and work with local youth at the Kids Club in Sisseton with two other churches. We cannot tell you how impressed we are with our youth in service - it is truly a joy to watch. In the evenings, we enjoyed group time together. On Monday, we learned about the Native American culture and experience. On Tuesday evening, we visited Ft. Sisseton State Park and on Wednesday visited Sica Hollow, a beautiful State Park significant in Dakota Indian lore. And we met community members for a cookout at a local park on Thursday night. It was a wonderful week filled with faith, fun, and friendships. |

The Talent Show brought out the performer in many members of Rejoice! A fun-filled night showcasing some awesome talent including instruments, singing, dancing, comedy and more - featuring individuals, groups, adults and students. When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left, and could say, "I used everything you gave me.” - Erma Bombeck |
2013 European Christmas TeaMemories of relatives carrying out age-old European traditions bring many of us back to a long-ago Christmas table. These tales and recipes still find their way into our individual Christmas traditions.
At Rejoice Lutheran Church, the community came together to celebrate these heritages and the Christmas holiday during their first European Christmas Tea and Bake Sale. The event was hosted by the Sunday School children of Rejoice, who served the guests sample trays of various foods and Christmas goodies. The delightful children were dressed in both their Christmas finery and best manners. The assortment of flavored teas and coffees as well as many favorite Scandinavian classics along with modern favorites had many going, or returning, in many cases, to the bake sale where specialty breads, cookies, candies, lefse, rosettes, krumkaka and many other items were available for purchase. |
